Recently I updated my KDE to version 4.10.1.
Now almost after every login I see crash handler dialog sayin
Quote:

We are sorry, KDE Daemon closed unexpectedly.
You can help us improve KDE Software by reporting this error.
...
Details: "Executable: kdeinit4 PID: 3323 Signal: Aborted (6)"

kdm.log gives the following:
Code:

klauncher(3214) kdemain: No DBUS session-bus found. Check if you have started the DBUS server.
kdeinit4: Communication error with launcher. Exiting!
kdmgreet(3208)/kdecore (K*TimeZone*): KSystemTimeZones: ktimezoned initialize() D-Bus call failed:  "Not connected to D-Bus server"

kdmgreet(3208)/kdecore (K*TimeZone*): No time zone information obtained from ktimezoned

Don't know if these are related, but probably they are. Suspend to RAM (sleep) and suspend to disk (hibernate) options are disappeared from the Shutdown menu.
Another strange thing is that KMail refuses to send email, despite I tried to recreate Mail Dispatcher Agent, but this one probably is unrelated and have something to do with kde-pim.

I was trying revdep-rebuild and python-updater with no success. Also was renaming .kde4 directory to reset all settings, but error persisted.
I even unmasked the KDE-4.10.2 and made another upgrade, but this one didn't help also.

Any advice would be very helpful.

Here's additional info from the crash handler, don't know if it spreads any light on the issue.

I finally managed to solve the problem with KDE! However it looks too specific and hardly someone else might face the same issues.
Anyway, here's what I did.

I updated *glibc* which caused KDE to hand after login, but I was glad to see any changes.
Then I looked through the list of other KDE dependencies, looking for packages that could be updated to a newer version.
Code:
emerge -pvet kde-meta

I selected few from the list that might be related to the problem. Actually I updated almost every package that had the newer version, but my guess is that it would be enough to update dbus related packages only.
Of cause revdep-rebuild was also required.

After the update KDE was good as new, except the problem with kmail, which still remained, but like I said it's not related to the problem.
