Hi there
I'd like to print an old style line printer banner on fanfold paper.
I have a working old style printer (Tally!!) and enough fanfold paper but I nee this old style banner program which creates the text vertically.
So figlet, toilet and banner won't work because they print the text horizontally
Who can point me to the right software?

TOIlet can print vertically/landscape. For example, the following prints a banner across twelve consecutive sheets of A4 paper with my inkjet printer:

(I'm using the FIGlet font doh.flf in the above example, and I have both FIGlet and TOIlet installed.)
I don't have a dot-matrix printer so cannot check if the above command would print the banner nicely with fan-fold paper, but you could try it and see. I expect you would need to adjust the printer margins.

I checked toilet and could not get it to print vertically because I did not find the filters argument for it.
Now i checked it out (Version 0.2 from portage) but this version ignores the -w option and linewraps.
I had to persuade my portage to install the hard masked 0.3-version and this works!
