OK, so here is a question I had.
I am trying to set up Gentoo on a server platform (IBM 3650 M1 model w/ 16Gb of RAM), but since it was designed to be a rack-mount server, it has no hardware sound systems available, either on the MB itself, or via a PCI card installed.
Surely, there is an ebuild that emulates a typical sound card chipset that I can emerge to allow users to get audio if they want to look at a youtube video or whatever. At least, I would assume there would be one. I just don't know how to structure my search of protage to figure out what ebuild will work best with this hardware.
Does anyone have any experience with this, or will I be basically blazing my own trail? |

Ok, that looks easy enough.
Thanks for the help, DONAHUE. |
