Using wifi through livedvd

Is there a way to use wifi connection through the installation cd? I have an Asus USB N13 wireless adaptor that is recognized through
command lsusb.

if the minmal install cd; only if the network is unprotected or wep, and frequently not even then.
The system rescue cd does much better. It is gentoo based and offers a GUI and a browser.
