Hi Guys,

I've got an old computer with a scsi raid controller, for which I want to buy new hard discs, since the current are too small. Unfortunately, I do not have so much experience which raid and scsi and so I have a silly question. I do not know if I can buy any scsi hard disc or if I have to buy ones which specific features.

lspci tells me this about the controller:
Code:
03:02.0 RAID bus controller [0104]: Intel Corporation RAID Controller [8086:0600]
        Subsystem: Intel Corporation Device [8086:01db]
        Control: I/O- Mem+ BusMaster+ SpecCycle- MemWINV+ VGASnoop- ParErr+ Stepping- SERR+ FastB2B- DisINTx-
        Status: Cap+ 66MHz+ UDF- FastB2B+ ParErr- DEVSEL=slow >TAbort- <TAbort- <MAbort- >SERR- <PERR- INTx-
Latency: 64, Cache Line Size: 64 bytes
Interrupt: pin A routed to IRQ 24
        Region 0: Memory at fbffc000 (32-bit, prefetchable) [size=16K]
[virtual] Expansion ROM at fcff0000 [disabled] [size=32K]
Capabilities: [80] Power Management version 2
                Flags: PMEClk- DSI- D1- D2- AuxCurrent=0mA PME(D0-,D1-,D2-,D3hot-,D3cold-)
                Status: D0 NoSoftRst- PME-Enable- DSel=0 DScale=0 PME-
        Kernel driver in use: gdth

The current pair has a size of 73GB and I am looking for a new pair with at least 300GB.

Thank you for your help.

There's no real way to know with those infos, you should get them inside the controller bios, or in dmesg by looking at the disk in use (with luck, as some disk models were made for different scsi versions and/or connectors).
