I'm unable to start mailman, because I'm not allowed to use python2.7. I can use a workaround by this:

su - mailman -c '/usr/bin/python2.7 bin/mailmanctl -s start'

But still I would have to change the start-up script every-time mailman gets updated. So I would like to know what the problem is?
Why can't I use python scripts as regular user?
