Logitech Z305 sound bar

Hello everyone! I am having some sort of trouble with a Logitech Z305 usb sound bar in Gentoo 12. That is to say it doesnt seem to be recognized at all by ALSA. I have been trying very hard to figure out this problem on my own, without making a forum topic for it, but I just can't seem to figure it out at all. Here is the output of lspci and lsusb. I really hope you can help and I'll be forever in your debt.

I've also added a line to alsa.conf

The italisized line is the one I added. Any suggestions?

Well after getting over my lazyness, I did figure out a solution to this. I didn't have USB sound selected as a kernel option. In retrospect, it seems that it should have been the first thing I looked at. At any rate, If anyone else has an issue with USB sound devices it seems the solution is to recompile the kernel with USB sound, not sure if the edits I made to alsa.conf makes a difference, but if simply recompilling the kernel doesn't work then that would be the next step solution.

Using the KDE-phonon setting I just have to set the Z305 in the first line with the highest priority. Then no alsa.conf setting is needed and works just over the USB-cable.
