|
|
According to Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) it is legal to hunt people.
Quote: | The time has come, America, to step up and ban these weapons. The other very important part of this bill is to ban large capacity ammunition feeding devices, those that hold more than 10 rounds. We have federal regulations and state laws that prohibit hunting ducks with more than three rounds. And yet it’s legal to hunt humans with 15-round, 30-round, even 150-round magazines. |
Not only that, but did the good reader know that Post Traumatic Stress is a new disorder caused by the Iraq war?
Quote: | The problem with expanding this is that, you know, with the advent of PTSD, which I think is a new phenomenon as a product of the Iraq War, it’s not clear how the seller or transferrer of a firearm covered by this bill would verify that an individual was a member, or a veteran, and that there was no impairment of that individual with respect to having a weapon like this. |
Tell me good reader, who is the dumber; the Honorable Senator from the State of California, or the people that keep reelecting this colossus of intellectualism?
My answer is the latter.

feinstein says it's legal to hunt humans... does that mean we get a free pass if we hunt her? |

She's got a point. Hunting or pest control - shooting animals - are legitimate uses for firearms. Good weapons for shooting animals have long barrels and do not require high sustained rates of fire.
The rest, all handguns and anything else with a high sustained rate of fire, are designed for killing people. They should be banned immediately. |

The second amendment was put there to ensure you can kill people and organisations who violate your person and property. It wasn't just there so people could hunt for food. The need to defend yourself or hit back against tyrants hasn't gone away. _________________

I agree - it never existed in the first place.
However, the 2nd was extremely useful to perpetuate a tyranny against African slaves.
Honestly, if you're pro gun, the 2nd amendment does nothing to help your case. It only serves to highlight the desperation and lack of real arguments from the gun lobby.

It existed in the 18th century, and it exists today. The Bill of Rights has been trampled on left right and centre, the tyrants being 'elected' doesn't stop them from being tyrants. _________________

Er... it does. Coz they were elected. They can be un-elected again if people don't want them to have power.
Not to mention the utter stupidity of imagining that possession of a rifle would protect you in any way from government tyranny if it did exist.
All this guns-against-tyranny crap is just insurrectionist nonsense. If you really want to be a patriot, do something useful and fight against the institutionalised capture of power by the rich via ALEC, superpacs, political funding, and bent media organisations like Fox. That is the real threat to democracy. |

Obama was very beatable but dabbling with extremism has made it impossible for an electable candidate to rise to the top of the GOP. You reap what you sow. |

Yeah dude, you gotta get a tag. It's just like deer season. She's legal only when the Senate is in session, but not when traveling to or from feed and water. _________________ I like babies. They keep secrets.

Please take your own advice from another thread and stick to topic. Which in this case is the utter stupidity of Ms. Feinstein, Democrat from California. _________________ I like babies. They keep secrets.

She's not stupid. She's just trying to fight all the little gun industry drones who buy and sell politicians and hand them draft legislation to turn into law. |

Wrong. You're missing the whole point. You don't organize a militia to hunt food, dumb-asses. (Not you, the other people saying this.) _________________

There's nothing "pseudo"-patriotic about it. It's the cornerstone this country was built on, with the intent of forever preserving the rights and liberties of its people from exactly the kind of oppressive collectivist-authoritarian erosion occurring right now.
Big Brother always like to just attach labels to things to control people's thinking, but some sophomoric Occupier blurting ZOMG "pseudo-patriotic" has a rational content value of nil, even if they tweet-fart it into the gaped and drooling mouths of a hundred million lemmings. _________________

Quack science hand-waving, now? Tyrannies have been historically cyclic in every country in the world. And we've seen civil liberty after civil liberty stripped from western democracies in response to 'terrorism', but all we've seen with such powers granted is law-abiding citizens being harassed by state agents. The state isn't all good and infallible and incorruptible as you maintain, in fact the current state of the US government is proof positive that it's not just naive to think so, but downright wilfully obstinate and dangerous. _________________

It's sad when even Wikipedia seems more accurate than such a powerful politician. It seems the Vietnam War was when PTSD was coined as a buzzword for shellshock, slightly before the Iraq war if
my maths is accurate.
Still, I think these people are just voiceboxes for armies of faceless spin-doctors and analysts, which would explain why they blurt such rubbish when they have to ad-lib. Stick to the script woman! Oh no!! She is going off script!! Quick someone wake up the marksman!!!111`. |
