Hi latly I update my chromium to 25.* branch and it pull speech-dispatcher and espeak. Since I don't have pulseaudio eemerged and I prefer to keep my system in this way. It is possible to configure speech-dispatcher and espeak without pulseaudio or I need pulesaudio and USE flag pulseaudio for speech-dispatcher and espeak to work their functionalty in chromium?
Why I try avoid pulseaudio? It add functinality I don't need and add to much sound cards to my system. |

I have -pulseaudio, I just emerged speech-dispatcher - it just gave a message about needing to configure since I compiled without pulseaudio, but no errors. I'm emerging chromium 25 now, but I don't see any reason it should not work with alsa, and the config file also mentions several other sound backends. |
