So, regarding the changes announced lately, I stumbled across a problem
Code: | hikaru ~ # emerge -uDN --with-bdeps=y @world
!!! Your current profile is deprecated and not supported anymore.
!!! Use eselect profile to update your profile.
!!! Please upgrade to the following profile if possible:
default/linux/amd64/13.0/desktop
Calculating dependencies |... done!
Exiting on signal 2
hikaru ~ # eselect profile list
Available profile symlink targets:
[1] default/linux/amd64/13.0
[2] default/linux/amd64/13.0/selinux
[3] default/linux/amd64/13.0/desktop
[4] default/linux/amd64/13.0/desktop/gnome
[5] default/linux/amd64/13.0/desktop/kde
[6] default/linux/amd64/13.0/developer
[7] default/linux/amd64/13.0/no-multilib
[8] default/linux/amd64/13.0/x32
[9] hardened/linux/amd64
[10] hardened/linux/amd64/selinux
[11] hardened/linux/amd64/no-multilib
[12] hardened/linux/amd64/no-multilib/selinux

Just a guess, but I'd bet Code: | env-update
source /etc/profile | would solve it. If that works, I'll tell you whi I think it did. If not, Code: | titan ~ # equery belongs /usr/bin/realpath
* Searching for /usr/bin/realpath ...
sys-apps/coreutils-8.20 (/usr/bin/realpath) | I'd --oneshot emerge coreutils.

Thanks, done that, didn't help, though.

avx,
Does it work if you use the good old fashioned way of setting the symlink by hand?
You will need to do
Code: | env-update
source /etc/profile | manually too. _________________ Regards,

I can symlink to make.profile and eselect profile lists it as activated, trying to change it via eselect again stil fails with above error, though. _________________ ++++++++++[>+++++++>++++++++++>+++>+<<<<-]>++.>+.+++++++..+++.>++.<<+++++++++++++++.>.+++.------.--------.>+.>. |
