anybody else experienced this at a x86 system ?
Update: Yes, I run eix-update before and I'm using eix-sync always

The [?] means that you installed the package from an overlay which is not available anymore.
Either ignore this message or reinstall the package from a location which is currently available on your system.

yeah,added via laman thre KDE overlay and removed it after the packages were aailable in mainline repository too - so 'I'll have to ignore those lines till the next KDE version :-/

The message is correct, because you do not know whether the ebuild of your installed package matches that from the tree. (E.g. different patches might apply if you reinstall the package from the main tree). If you are sure that the applied patches are identical, you can also cheat and pretend that you installed from the "gentoo" repository by editing the corresponding files in /var/db/pkg/*/*/repository. However, if this causes breakage you keep the pieces :wink:

It would be really cool if eix would check in such cases whether the ebuild differs (except comments on so on) or not - but probably a boring coding task

Even if the ebuild is the same, the used eclasses or patches might contain different code.
