Hello all,

Embarrassingly I have accidentally flushed my iptable rules preventing me from connecting via ssh and ultimately rendering fwbuilder inoperable.

Consequently I have temporarily stopped the service in /etc/init.d/, in order to get reconnected to the Internet. However i was wondering whether i can solve this problem by simply using the iptables command within the terminal to reapply the rules i lost? Also to save any confusion, this is on my personal laptop, therefore I have complete access to the system.

had you done an 'iptables save' or '/etc/init.d/iptables save' previously?

if so, the rules are still hanging around. Or, if fwbuilder does a save on its own, they should still be sitting around, if nowhere else, in /var/lib/iptables/rules-save

if they weren't saved prior, flushing pretty well nukes 'em
