It is not rude, since they support it. Name just implies, of course, meant for use with the GNU system. They even support this by hosting this kind of projects here:
http://savannah.nongnu.org
Also if you would like to make your project part of the GNU system, it is doable and explained in that site. If udev fork becomes part of gnu, the future would be more bright for the project. _________________ Anyway it's all the same at the end...
