ktorrent freezes when folding@home running

ktorrent runs perfectly fine, with normal upload/download speeds and GUI responsiveness.

When FAHClient is running, ktorrent freezes. The GUI is non-responsive and no uploading/downloading occurs.

This is strange since none of the other applications I use appear to suffer the same effect. Deluge and transmission bittorrent clients do not appear to be affected.

I have tried to renice the ktorrent pids to -19 as well as a number of different kernels and schedulers (ck-sources, pf-sources) with no change to ktorrent behavior.

I prefer ktorrent to the alternatives, but not if it means that I am not able to run the folding client.

Suggestions/Recommendations are appreciated.
