X configuration for Gnome

Hi, I'm very new to Gentoo, please be patient and excuse me for being so illiterate.
I partially installed Gentoo X86 in a dual boot system from another linux distribution running on a Acer Aspire One D257;
here is "lspci -v" from the other well working distro:

I used "genkernel all" after I selected the Desktop/Gnome profile in eselect. Here is the "emerge --info" output:

When I emerged the whole xorg-x11, I got this message as final tail of the process:

In this message, and moreover in the Gentoo wiki, I'm reading that xorg requires KMS support in the kernel. Unfortunately, after xorg, I emerged Gnome without caring this message. Now I can't start x, here is my Xorg.0.log:

I tried to see if I could use in Gentoo some configuration files from this other distribution (Ubuntu 12.04), but it's a lot different and I don't know how I could make this. By reading the Gentoo wiki I noticed that I have no /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/ directory, but the only one I have is /usr/share/X11/xorg.cong.d/
I'm in doubt now if genkernel compiled the kernel with or without KMS support, and how I could proceed with the configuration of xorg. I even don't know which other log files or commands I could post.

I've never used genkernel but one of the key things to getting the Intel graphics driver working is that you must have kernel mode setting enabled in the kernel. Did you have to go through the menu to select different kernel options?

As in http://pastebin.ubuntu.com/1397739/ it says what option needs to be enabled. You can look at your /proc/config* file (might be gzipped) or wherever your kernel is, look for the hidden file .config - and check to make sure

CONFIG_DRM_I915=y
CONFIG_DRM_I915_KMS=y

(for newer chipsets of course, anything from i915, i945, i965, g31, g33, g45, sandybridge, ivybridge, and many more.)

If you don't have them enabled, the graphics driver won't work. Also another telltale sign it's enabled (but not definite) is that the text size shrinks during boot - and penguins show up...
