Quote:
A real-life Grinch was arrested after he spoiled the holiday cheer at a parade, telling children that Santa isn't real.

The unidentified 24-year-old man, who had his hair gelled to look as though devil horns were protruding from his head, was arrested by police in the Canadian town of Kingston last week during the annual Santa Claus parade, authorities said in statement.

The St. Nicholas naysayer faces criminal charges of causing a disturbance by being drunk and breach of probation.

"It was pretty despicable that someone, during this time of the year, would tell kids Santa isn't real - which of course we would argue," Const. Steve Koopman told the Toronto Star.

It was not known how the man, who has surely landed on Santa's naughty list, pleaded to the charges.

But, he's Canadian, so he must have done this politely.

Now, next time you go around telling people Santa isn't real, remember this story.

But Saint Nicholas is real in the sense he once lived. Also, this: http://www.ijmc.com/archives/1997/December/23December1997.html and this http://www.daclarke.org/Humour/santa.html
I roast my case.

I'd have loved to see a video of the guy telling children that Santa isn't real.

I would like to see a video of him explaining himself to a judge in court, and hearing the judge sentence him to 800 hours of community service and supervised alcohol rehabilitation.

Of course, because if they don't believe lies at an early age, they won't grow up to mindlessly do what they are told by nannygov. "Time of year" seems like an odd concern.

Education is now a crime.

Better tell the kids now. Otherwise they'll expect everything to be given to them and we'll have OWS part deux.

Damn straight. I grew up without believing in Santa Claus. As a reward my family always got to open presents Christmas Eve and I'd phone my friends to brag about what I got. Then sleep in Christmas Day.

We used to get to open our stockings on Christmas Eve, but that sucked, so we eventually pressured our parents into letting us open one present.
