Interesting. Limbaugh just came on confirming my theory. mcgruff's enthusiasm with the debate seems to confirm Limbaugh's premise. _________________ Gun: Glock 19 Gen 4

During the part about nuclear Iran, Biden kept arguing that the Iranians weren't capable of using a nuke because they didn't have a delivery platform. I thought to myself, "So, they don't have briefcases in Iran?"
Also, why couldn't Iranians load up a jetliner with a nuke and airburst over Tel Aviv?

No, but he did get called out on saying he'd "bet his Vice Presidency" on his ability to get a Status of Forces Agreement in Iraq, and how his failure to do so has enabled Iran to directly provide air support to the Syrian Government and limited our ability to securely exert influence on the slaughter going on in Syria.
This of course was apparently funny, and he laughed about it. _________________

Wow. He has a long history of bullshitting.
You know, now that I see them listed out like that that, he really did tell a lot of big lies, didn't he. I remember saying "bullshit" numerous times, throughout the debate, but I didn't realize there were so many whoppers. Everybody should read that list. _________________

BBC agrees with me about how Biden's antics will be interpreted by the Democrat base, Republican base, and those in between.
Quote: | Mr Biden probably cheered supporters and annoyed opponents. Mr Ryan will have done the same, but his calmer performance may have been more attractive to the undecided. |

(Also, notice from URL that BBC categorizes "US-Canada" as one place, proving once again that Canadians are really just Americans who like hockey and have high carbon footprints.) _________________

You're missing the point. People are choosing between two pair; one pair lies all the freaking time. _________________

You're missing the point: both pairs lie all the time. What people are really choosing is which pack of lies most closely approximates what they want to hear. _________________ Your argument is invalid. |

I agree as well, but you're stating the obvious. I know you'd rather somebody else entirely be elected, as would I, but that pragmatic reality is that one of these two pair are going to be. Do you actually believe that there is no significance in the choice, or that electing people who lie, say, 25% of the time is not better than electing people who lie 75% of the time? _________________

He's Obama through and through, even if he won't admit it. If he wasn't, he'd have been poisoned by a gay waiter (or his wife) by now. _________________

I guess that depends on what they are lying about. In this case, the lies on both sides are so egregious that both sides are disqualified. Have some self-respect: don't vote. _________________ Your argument is invalid. |

Quote: | There is no bigger douchebag in American politics than Joe Biden. There is possibly no bigger douchebag in the solar system. His florid, monster-truck-sized, off-the-charts douchiness was on ample display during Thursday night’s vice-presidential debate.
Biden is a known plagiarist and perennial embarrassment whom Obama tagged for the VP slot even though Biden had once referred to him as “the first mainstream African American…who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy.” He later assured the American public that Obama “has a big stick.” At a 2008 rally, he told wheelchair-bound Senator Chuck Graham, “Stand up, Chuck, let ‘em see ya.” This summer he told a mostly black audience that Romney wanted to “put y’all back in chains.”
In normal circumstances against a capable opponent, such serial ineptitude and deep-seated character defects would have worked against him. If he had faced an agile, authoritative debater, Biden’s blowtorch hostility and forced, condescending smarm would have been liabilities. But the number-crunching, iron-pumping, bitter-beer-faced Paul Ryan was so exasperatingly ineffectual, Biden’s Douche Factor suddenly transformed into a magic nightstick that worked to his advantage. Ryan acted like a leaky vagina and thus wound up getting thoroughly douched. more... |

Actually, that is exactly what I believe, and it serves as a response to D also. I am actually fairly happy about my choices this election. Romney is a centrist, pragmatic republican, and Obama is a centrist, pragmatic democrat. I really don't think it matters which douche-bag wins. So for the first time in my life, I am quite comfortable voting for a third party, knowing that I don't need to vote against anyone. |
