|
|
Hi all,
I'm running xfce4 (4.10.0), and after a recent system update, my plugins no longer show up. The xfce4 panel plugins are installed, but they don't show up in the "Add New Items" dialog box.
The "Add New Items" box: http://tinypic.com/r/axil1c/6
Terminal window showing a plugin is installed: http://tinypic.com/r/o5np6t/6
Any hints? |

What are the contents of /usr/lib/xfce4/panel-plugins?
Mine:
Code: | # ls /usr/lib/xfce4/panel-plugins/
xfce4-brightness-plugin xfce4-orageclock-plugin xfce4-sensors-plugin
|

As follows:
Code: | # ls /usr/lib/xfce4/panel-plugins
libdatetime.so libquicklauncher.so xfce4-netload-plugin
libnotes.so libsmartbookmark.so xfce4-orageclock-plugin
libnotes.so.0 xfce4-dict-plugin xfce4-places-plugin
libnotes.so.0.0.0 xfce4-mixer-plugin xfce4-timer
|
So, for example xfce4-timer is in the list but not in the dialog box. Maybe there's some sort of "debug" mode I can use to find out what's being looked at? |

Perhaps there's an error message in /var/log/Xorg.0.log , or you can run the panel from the command line w/ "xfce4-panel" . _________________ Personal overlay | Simple backup scheme |
