So, I thought I'd give Kmail another go after my failed Thunderbird built. Adding multiple IMAP accounts is straightforward enough and works fine.
However, I'm a little stuck at setting an SMTP server to a specific email account. There doesn't seem to be a straightforward way of doing it and a little googling around didn't help much either.
What am I missing? |

So, 19 reads and 24 hours later and no response. Is this really such an obscure question? |

Go into Configure Kmail
Select the Identity you want to tie the SMTP transport to.
Click the advanced tab
check and select the outgoing account from the drop down list.
Each SMTP account is added under Accounts, Sending tab.
Hope that helps.

Ok, thank you. That was completely counterintuitive. Although, I work professionally with OS X and it may not be fair to compare the two worlds |
