A while back I detected that a bad memory module in my media server had led to a bunch of files corrupted on write that now have CRC and other related failures. I'm writing a script now to detect my bad albums and put them aside for eventual reacquisition.

I have a variety of files, and I've found the immensely handy 'flac -t' and 'mp3check'. However, I also have a lot of .m4a and .ogg files (with AAC and Vorbis streams, respectively), and haven't been able to find anything that sounds like they'd check the integrity of those files.

I'm writing a Python script to pound through my whole collection. Anything that could check those files would be appreciated, with a preference for simple command line utilities like the above.

Thanks!

Hey I know this was a while ago but - did you ever find any tool to do the job? I'm in a similar quandary and would love to hear how you solved this (if you did) :)
