I'm wondering if there's an option for the emerge command, or a log somewhere -- some way of knowing a computer's emerge or ebuild history. I checked man emerge and didn't see any clues, but I think it would be cool if portage stored the history of compiled content on the person's machine; sometimes I forget package names and it's important to have them to effectively address any concerns about packages, ebuilds, and the like. Thanks. _________________ "Wisdom begins in wonder..." ~ Socrates

Yep, /var/log/emerge.log. You can emerge genlop or qlop (from portage-utils) to parse the log more easily, too. |
