With vanilla kernel 3.5.1 as host, 3.6-rc1+ as client kernel and a x86 Gentoo user mode linux image I'm wondering about this message during shutdown of the UML image guest system : Code: | * Deactivating swap devices ...
[ ok ]
* Removing dm-crypt mappings
* crypt-swap ...
Kernel not configured for semaphores (System V IPC). Not using udev synchronisation code.
[ ok ]
* Stopping udev ...
[ ok ]

An older guest kernel (3.5) works fine. Both guest kernels have nearly identical .configs : Code: | $ /usr/local/bin/linux-v3.5 --showconfig | grep IPC | grep -v '#'
CONFIG_SYSVIPC=y
CONFIG_SYSVIPC_SYSCTL=y
$ /usr/local/bin/linux-v3.6-rc1-207-gf4ba394 --showconfig | grep IPC | grep -v '#'
CONFIG_SYSVIPC=y
CONFIG_SYSVIPC_SYSCTL=y
| and cryptsetup was already recompiled using the latest used kernels.
FWIW I'm using an encrypted swap devie for the guest kernels: Code: | $ grep ^swap dmcrypt
swap=crypt-swap
