awright2009,

iwconfig does not support WPA2 encryption. Use wpa_supplicant.

For eth0 you may need to modprobe the module for your network interface.

LiveDVD 11.2 (multilib) works perfect but 2012.1 can't boot. Then I try to boot it with nofb and saw "kernel panic".

I worry about new kernel and compatibility with my CPU...

Any plans to release new media?

Don't know how to grab full text of error message, but this what I wrote to remember:

Code:

fakeCreazy,

Compatibility with your CPU is OK, its something else.
Code:
Kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init!
Is the piece of text we needed.
This tells that the system tried to start up but something was wrong, probably in the initrd. Please file a bug at bugs.gentoo.org.

Meanwhile, if you want to install Gentoo continue with any Linux CD that will gibe you a root shell and a 64 bit kernel, if you want a 64 bit install.
With most liveCDs you will nee to run
Code:
mkedir /mnt/gentoo
before you can follow the handbook.

System Rescue CD is highly reccomended. Its Gentoo based and just works.

The Gentoo DVD allows you to test drive Gentoo, it has no special installer.

So I did: livedvd-amd64-multilib-2012.1.iso kernel panic and still no answer

Yes, I know it. I don't need install gentoo, I already have my gentoo.
I just wanna check how works Xorg server (before upgrade, because it always a trouble) and other stuff.

Also, actually I use LiveDVDs as System Rescue CD :) fixing, recompiling kernel while playing with LiveDVD and watching movies. But I'll take a look to the System Rescue CD.

Thanks for your quick replies!
