what is nomerge in the update status?

Problems with emerge or ebuilds? Have a basic programming question about C, PHP, Perl, BASH or something else?

The
[nomerge ]
are shown to show the dependency tree. They are not to be merged at least at that time.

There is nothing to unmerge. Portage is able to do this one automatically.
