Hello,

I just finished installing gentoo 1.2 and everything during the install went very smoothly. After rebooting into the new system, I tried emerging an application and emerge is not using my proxy settings within the make.conf file that I have specified. Does anyone know how I can begin to troubleshoot this issue? I can manually export http_proxy and ftp_proxy in my current shell before I run emerge and everything works fine. Do I need to setup an rc script to source the make.conf file or something?

Ok,

so I assume the proxy settings within make.conf only apply to rsync and do not setup wget proxy settings? I will setup the proxy settings within the wgetrc and am good to go. Thanks for the link.
