Hi,

I just updated portage to sys-apps/portage-2.1.10.34

now I don't get any output to watch. 8O

More specifically , I tried to update octave and it just sits there with, 30m so far, with close to 100% cpu usage.

This is where some output would be good check on what is going on .

emerge --verbose isn't and /var/log/portage is empty , how can I follow progress now?

TIA, Gentree. 8)

Moved from Portage & Programming to Duplicate Threads in favor of the thread Etal mentioned and also emerge messages have stopped?.
