|
|
Greetings, all! I marked adobe-flash ~arch to give the new one a try but fullscreen is ridiculously slow whereas I have no problems with fullscreen in the latest stable package. I'm using fglrx (stable) on a Mobility Radeon HD 5870 and mozilla-firefox ~amd64 (7.0.1?); I also have the overridegpuvalidation option set in /etc/adobe/mms.cfg. I've tried using it with both 32bit & 64bit USE flags with no change in behaviour. Here's my system info for what it's worth because I've seen a lot of people saying flash 11 is working perfectly for them.
Code: | Linux blackwaterpark 2.6.39-gentoo-r3 #1 SMP Mon Sep 12 22:54:32 EDT 2011 x86_64 Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU Q 740 @ 1.73GHz GenuineIntel GNU/Linux |
Anyone else experienced this and/or found the solution? Thanks in advance! |

Try remove the video framebuffer support under the console (edit your lilo/grub/grub2/whaeverloader to remove the kernel instructions to use vesa/uvesa/KMS), and try flasg in fullscreen.
If it's work then you can try to apply this workaround (googling terms should help you)
-Disable KMS/vga/vesafb/DRI in the kernel
-Put the fglrx firmware in the kernel (may be optionnal)
-Configure uvesafb in the kernel
-Emerge klibc (Connector - unified userspace <-> kernelspace linker and Userspace VESA VGA graphics support this must be build against the kernel)
-Emerge v86d
-Configure the initramfs using /usr/share/v86d/initramfs
-Configure your video kernel instruction like this : video=uvesafb:mtrr:3,ywrap,WresolutionofyourscreenxLresolutionofyourscreen-colordepthyouwantforconsole@refreshyourscreensupport enable_mtrr_cleanup mtrr_spare_reg_nr=1 (using uvesafb and mtrr in write combining mode) |
