Netgear 3700 router does not see net printer

Hello.

I have just replaced my old D-Link wired router with a NetGear WNDR3700v2 wireless. After much fiddling, the only thing left not working is my printer.

It is a Brother HL5250DN with a built-in lan card. The printer never shows up on the router's attached devices config page, even though I can ping it. Not too surprisingly, it will not respond to print commands.

I have tried power-cycling the printer and the router to no avail. It was working fine on my old D-Link.

The NetGear tech support would not talk to me about the printer problem, they just seconded me to their hundred-dollar a year GearHead tech team. I would rather not spend a hundred bucks to get the thing doing what it is supposed to...

Anyone with success or failure with this combo, or any thoughts?
