Is there anyway to blacklist nVidia's hdmi audio? I don't even have that kind of hook up on graphics card, nor do I have any sort of plug thing I can use.. I was recently having issues with sound, turns out, I think it's my Envy card causing conflicts, get on Gentoo today and only KDE sounds works, and Amarok, any other apps have no sounds, going to reboot my system re-enable my Onboard Card, if that works, just going to rip this envy out, it's been a nuisance to countless people, seen posts from Ubuntu Forums, seen posts in Arch Linux Forums, I think just having it in my PCI slot is causing conflicts, so going to take it out, see if I see any difference. And as for the nVidia HDMI Audio, not sure how to blacklist that, without making my graphics card unusable.

There should be a way to set it in alsa or oss depending on which you are using.

what does "lspci -kk" show

It sees both your nvidia and via hardware. You should be able to select one and ignore the other by modifying the alsa config file.

You should also be able to blacklist either driver (hda-intel OR snd-ice1724)

Thanks for your help, just took it out.. I'll just stick with the Onboard, what one thing most people don't realize, Alsa does not mix too well, TeamSpeak2, forget it, out of all Linux, TeamSpeak2 is what Alsa doesn't like mixing channels with..
