When I right-click on XMMS options>preferences or press ctrl-p, the preferences panel comes up, but I am unable to change any settings by clicking on them and I am unable to access the other sub-panels by clicking on the tabs. All that happens is I get an unfriendly "beep" every time I try to click on the panel. Otherwise XMMS works fine, but I want to be able to mess around with the plug-ins and I can't BTW, I emerged XMMS with "-kde -qt -arts" in my USE setting because I am using Gnome - does XMMS maybe need all this other stuff installed after all? _________________ AMD Athlon 1.33Ghz

I've seen this before, I think. Try renaming .xmms to something else (i.e. .xmms.old) I think that the preferences files get screwed up and that is what freezes the panel.
just a guess. |
