Due to recent developments, such as this:

It may become alot simpler to run linux on a PS2.... I suspect specialized save games with the kernel loader built in will be coming soon, much like the xbox.

mine is running debian woody nicely, but i'd prefer to have gentoo on it

More cool sgi stuff is at http://www.nekochan.net They have an awesome forum running phpbb2 with a lot of good info. Including the (apparently) worlds first 600Mhz O2 workstation. The guy hacked a QED RM5200 module to work with a PMC R7000 @ 600Mhz.

If you're looking for some people willing to beta test Portage for Irix, I think you've found the right place :lol:
