hello,

i use kde3 and gnome in my computer...
in kde ive set the volume proprieties in kmix, and each time i reboot the system the volume is always the same(the one ive configured)...
but in gnome each time i reboot the machine the volume changes! it goes to very low... where can i set the volume in gnome so it HOLDS the default volume and keep it always?
theres a volume icon on the top-right of the screen, but i didnt find an option to do this... i can change the volume, but then when i restart the computer the volume changes...

Install aumix and do the following (as root):
Code:

rc-update add aumix default

Your mixer settings will be saved upon shutdown
and restored on system start.

Err.. Actually, I think this won't help, because
Gnome restores his own mixer settings when
You start it, changing the volume level
set by aumix.
