Hi all,
by today the subject button no longer appears!
I tryed all and i searched on all web but no one option fix me this problem.
Only way to restore is launching gnome by failsafe but at the next normal restart this disappear!
How can i try to fix it ? I use xorg-server 1.9 |

I have the same problem, for long time, I only get exit session button, but not shutdown or reboot button. |

I dont understand, xorg 1.7 uses HAL, ok after update xorg 1.9 dont use more so i deinstalled this, but now i cannot use cdrom or mount usbpen in automatic like before.. new xorg don't use udev for this? |

I am using xorg-server-9999 with no hal and automount (cdrom, usb) works very good, only problem is shutdown button, every time I have to run "halt" or "reboot" from root terminal |

Do you mean "not use" automount ? So you do all by console ? |

No, sorry. I am using automount, by console I only shutdown or reboot. |

For automount try this:
open this file /usr/share/polkit-1/actions/org.freedesktop.udisks.policy with nano or what you what as root, if you want make a copy backup, change all <allow_any>no</allow_any> in <allow_any>yes</allow_any>, now automount shoul work, tested on my desktop and laptop. |

No, don't do that. Messing with PolicyKit files like that is not a solution. It's a gaping security hole.
