|
|
When I try to play a mp3 file with Clementine I get the error: "Your GStreamer installation is missing a plug-in."
The ebuild for clementine also installed a few GStreamer libs but it won't use them for some reason?
I've tried to install several GStreamer libs via portage but nothing resulted in a working Clementine.
Any suggestions?

I also have this problem, but I can't find such module.
Is there maybe another USE-Flag?

You need media-plugins/gst-plugins-mad.
mp3s play fine here. _________________ http://proaudio.tuxfamily.org/wiki - pro-audio software overlay

As with many things (kde, xfce, ...), gentoo provides "gst-plugins-meta"-package, which has a "mp3"-USE-Flag, which will pull in gst-plugins-mad |

I see. Still.... it would be nice if Clementine explained this to you at install time. Although I can't recall clearly, I always read the messages carefully after merging, and I don't recall anything about this... |
