|
|
Dear all,
I have compiz 0.8 on my gentoo, installed from the official masked portage ebuild.
Yesterday I installed cairo-dock using layman -a desktop-effects.
Now, when I update portage it tries to install compiz 0.9 from desktop-effects overlay, and it fails (for some reason that I don't want to investigate).
How can I force emerge to use compiz-fusion from the official portage tree instead of the overlay?
Thank you very much for your help.
Cheers. |

While apparently somewhat lacking in documentation, it can be done using repos.conf to give the main tree a higher priority than the overlay.
Moved from Portage & Programming to Duplicate Threads, considering "Overlays priority [solved]". |
