I think it looks great, have many usefull features what I missed and have big potential to the future. Well, at this moment it is my default player. I made an ebuilds for this, so u can try it too if u didn't already.

Have you posted them anywhere? Have you tried submitting them for review for inclusion in the Sunrise overlay?

I haven't tried this player yet, but I notice that there is an ebuild on the sourceforge page for this project.

There is only 1 developer on this project and the first release was just last March. The screenshots look nice though.

Nope, I didn't know about this overlay. I'll check what's going on. At this time it is posted in bugzilla.

++

it definitely looks impressive and reminds me somehow of bmpx and songbird

note that it's in alpha / pre-alpha state

Version 0.1.5 is out with many improvements. As my main player I am still missing session support, however with music-applet it is not so bad :)

I finally downloaded the tarball and compiled and installed it. It works great on 64 bit, but it currently only has support for mp3. Other than that, the player looks very nice and memory and cpu usage is extremely low. It has a very responsive UI, LastFM support, dynamic playlists, ratings, lyrics, etc. I'm pleasantly surprised for a player that is only at version 0.1.5.

Yes, thats why I find this as the main player I want. About support of other formats there is some note here http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=2801683&group_id=250783&atid=1126448

I was hunting for something like this player, currently building it and loving the Cmake use :)
It's now got some plugins for Amazon and others, what I've seen from it so far left me happy :)

I just installed using the rion overlay and tracks play, everything looks great, i really want to keep the player BUT, seeking doesn't work. I move the slider up the song timeline and release the mouse and it jumps right back to where it was. Here is the output in terminal:

Code:

19:03:14: OnMediaPosition... 2192 - 0   1286823783 0
19:03:15: OnMediaPosition... 3194 - 0   1286823783 0

19:03:19: OnMediaPosition... 7180 - 0   1286823783 0

Also, when one track finishes it won't advance to the next, it just sits at "StatusChanged( 2, 0, 0, 0 )"

Here is output:

Code:
