I get an email that it is a new answer in this thread, but it isnt. i reached an site with that link https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?p=6450307#6450307 in this email from an one post member and the special i wonder is that no report button is available and under firefox the one i dont use till this moment i have to login for this.

Reason is :
You were speaking in that thread = email on new message in it
The new message was report by someone
The new message was moved to dustbin by mods
So the reference in the email pointed you to a message that was moved to dustbin, and in dustbin, no report, no link...
Nothing to worry about so. |

thanks for explanation. it is my first time with that circumstance and i just wonder why i reach an thread with the name "What is garbage?" when i follow my posted link.

Split from the report topic as it's useful information for others who find a similar situation.
A related thing that sometimes happens is when you get the message "The topic or post you requested does not exist" when following the link from a notification e-mail, this means that the post has been deleted, usually because it's spam but sometimes by the person who posted it.
