After I installed the X-server without any issues I typed

Code:
emerge gnome

But unfortunately there's a problem with the libmpeg2-0.5.1. When I look into the log file there's a lot's of:

Code:
motion_comp_altivec.c:1004: error: AltiVec argument passed to unprototyped
function
I don't know what's wrong.

I hope, that someone could help me! Thx

Code:
gcc-config -l

Code:
[1] powerpc-unknown-linux-gnu-4.4.3 *
[2] powerpc64-unknown-linux-gnu-4.1.2*

Moved from Desktop Environments to Gentoo on PPC, as the problem appears to be platform specific.

I found a similar bug on bugzilla( https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=337454) The unstable version works fine, so I hope there won't be any problems later on. Do you think this isn't a good advice to install the unstable version of libmpeg2?

It's fine in this case. I forgot to mark the newer version with the fix stable. It has been marked stable now. Sorry!
