Just ordered myself a core i3, but does it support IA64? And even if it does, is it preferable over AMD64? Looking at packages.gentoo.org, it seems a lot of ebuilds arent available for IA64... _________________ ACTA is a war on your digital freedom |

AMD64.
IA64 is for ithanium processors, which are not x86-based. _________________ Kind regards,

Thanks guys. I just read it used the Intel 64 architecture and assumed that meant IA64, but I'll stick with AMD64 then. How about the on-chip AES instruction set? Do I enable that with a USE flag? _________________ ACTA is a war on your digital freedom |

Actually I just read that intel disabled AES instructions in the i3 to make you buy the i5 instead ah well... _________________ ACTA is a war on your digital freedom |
