Hi,

mplayerplug-in crashes itself and Mozilla Firebird while the last seen output message seen says 'Getting playlist...'. I was on the homepage of mplayer (http://mplayerplug-in.sourceforge.net/howto.html) and did all tests, and they worked fine (mplayer- and gmplayer-tests). But if I do any of the plugin-tests, it freezes everything. I set mplayer to put out an log, but I get none.

Mozilla Firebird: 0.7
mplayer: 1.02pre2

Regards, Stormbreaker

I have the same problem. Normal vids work. But the plug in fails on most occasions. Specially for wmv files. It works when watching Apple trailers.

Thanx

Almost the same problem here : mplayer works perfectly with all media types, but mplayerplug-in won t work. For quicktime movies, it usually starts then locks up after a few seconds. Results with other media types vary. I m usig it with konqueror, but result is the same with Mozilla 1.4.

I ll file a bug report and keep you posted.

Edit : see bug report 33437.

The problem is the soundoutput. After compiling Kernel 2.6 with OSS-Support, it stopped crashing on me.

hello guys!

i had similar problems. mplayer went to state <defunct> when trying to play a trailer on aplle.com/trailers. i am using firebird 0.7 and mplayer 1.0_pre3 because only that build works with my unstable alsa. to make videos work again emerge unstable mplayerplug-in-1.0.

but: no sound for me. any clues on that?
