Any of you gentoo sparc users have succesfully compiled openoffice?
Binaries are not available, so i started cmpiling it myself. 1.1.0 is masked so 1.0.3-rc1 is the one i emerge. Unfortunatly it keeps crashing. Some errors I fixed, but in the end I just a few errors I can't resolv.

OpenOffice is known as a bitch for emerging so I was wondering if any of you have got it emerged anyway.

I've tried every single version of OpenOffice available in Gentoo:
1.03, 1.1, openoffice-ximian..
It is always a trouble. I've reported an error so you can find my error msgs if you want.

It's so strange, because about a month or two ago I was able to do it :(

https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=32571

I added a patch to app-office/openoffice-1.1.0-r2 (which is marked ~sparc).
Should compile on sparc64 now. Screenshots (and binary package):

Look how the source ebuild does it :) and thanks for testing!

Could anyone please try to compile it?

I heard that some people reported compile Problems with gcc 3.2.3... I successfully compiled it with gcc 3.3.2-r2. So if anyone could verify that it works with 3.3.2-r2 on a system where 3.2.3 failed I could change the ebuild to depend on the newer gcc.

Thank you!
