Have defects on screen in KDE like flashing, jumps. In make.conf I set "radeon".

Why not try and emerge radeonhd drivers?

radeon hd had slow development , and not recommended ....
use radeon + mesa 7.8 + radeon-ucode and newer kernel than 32 |
