|

Hey everyone, I'm in the middle of an install, and at the point where I issue emerge -u system, it gets to autoconf, and then fails because "perl is not found"
Any suggestions? _________________ Thanks,

Having the exact same problem here: then I try to compile perl, and then it tries to compile autoconf again.. and dies, cos there's no perl. Hmm |

Yay.
I did a
Code: | ldconfig
env-update
source /etc/profile |
and continued with emerge -u system, and it seems to be working now

I've run into the exact same problem as well doing a stage 2 install.
Could you kindly explain what this does below. I looked at "man ldconfig" but this still doesn't make anysense to me.
Code: |
ldconfig
env-update
source /etc/profile
|
Im sure others will be running into this as well.
Thanks Pierre. _________________ JB |

This didn't work for me. Getting the same errors as originally posted. _________________ JB |
