Ich verzweifel hier bald total:
Gestern ist MozillaFirebird bei mir hängen geblieben, so weit, so gut. killall -9 ... konnte den Prozess leider nicht töten, jetzt aber zum Seltsamen: "ps" in der Konsole blieb danach auch einfach "hängen"; d.h. keine Ausgabe von ps, nichts dahinter (auch nicht erneut die konsole), runterfahren ging auch nicht mehr, also reset. Jetzt der Gipfel des Merkwürdigen für mich: Nach dem reset/Neustart waren alle kde-Einstellungen von meinem Profil weg! Also Fensterdekoration und wie sie alle heissen, auch die gesamten kmail-Einstellungen (Servereinstellungen) waren weg! Die heruntergeladenen email waren allerdings noch da!
Das ganze (Mozilla Absturz) ist mir gerade noch einmal passiert, die wieder neu eingestellten Mailserver natürlich wieder futsch :(
Hat jemand eine Idee wo ich anfangen kann nach dem Fehler zu suchen?
Mein System: kde 3.1.4, MozillaFirebird 0.7, kernel-2.6.0...

Das ganze ist mir soeben auch mit mplayer passiert: Wollte ein Video öffnen, mplayer bleibt aber hängen, killall geht nicht, ps bleibt auch hängen...

Wenn die Abstürze immer an unterschiedlichen Stellen auftreten und du sie nicht reproduzieren kannst, stimmt womöglich was mit deiner Hardware nicht. Mach mal einen Speichertest. (www.memtest86.com) Vielleicht wird auch dein Prozessor zu heiß.

Habe das Problem gelöst: mit 2.6.0-test8 kamen all die Abstürze, Update auf 2.6.0-test9: Problem behoben...
