hedmo,

Code:
In file included from ../Xext/panoramiX.h:45,
from dixfonts.c:76:
/usr/include/X11/extensions/panoramiXext.h:49: error: expected ')' before '*' token

Either the source code is faulty or you have a hardware or overheating problem.

Run the emerge again and see if it fails at exactly the same place. That would indicate a problem with the code.
Look in the file /usr/include/X11/extensions/panoramiXext.h around line 49 or emerge the package that provides panoramiXext.h again.
Code:
equery belongs panoramiXext.h
will tell you the package you need.

If there is no error, or its a different error, or in a different place, clean your CPU heatsink with a a stiff natural bristle brush. Never a hoover.

If problems still persist, run memtest from a bootCD.
memtest errors do not always indicate problems with RAM.

Post back when you know more

hedmo, you know what ?

just google it :)

I'm assuming you're installing from a liveCD with has graphical links2 at least:

links -g www.google.com

then a search for panoramiXext.h reveal that it belongs to libXinerama

Yes i made à livecd install and rebooted i am working in the terminal
i dont know how to tab the merge info.yes its xinerama and i even
downgrade but i have not made a full Ati-drivers install so wen
i make à --depclean it dont remove any ati filés i tryed to
manuely remove it by --unmerge but its only the filés
i know in My head.now wen i try to emerge i get à
colli.... Stop error that tells me an other program is
makeing the same merge.i belive thers more
programs to be --unmerge. I belive is à conflict
between new and old xorg-server and its the fglrx
driver that make it.before last day error i did make it
with VIDEO CARS=radeon radeonhd but no 3D so that
not for me.

yeah, it's most probably caused by conflicting (old vs. new) libraries

when downgrading from xorg-server 1.7 to xorg-server 1.6.5

I had to go through that hassle, too, in the past when moving from xf86-video-ati or xf86-video-radeonhd back again to fglrx :?

I' ve read in another forum that you can disable the non loaded modules.
Take a look on this:
http://www.mail-archive.com/gentoo-user@lists.gentoo.org/msg95894.html
On the other hand, there is any reference to that.

I agree with you. However, I have disabled all non loadable xorg modules until a definitive solution. I have also removed the dri USE flag and so on in order the get some packages emerged. I can' t stop working. If u get any clues, please post it here.
The Best of Luck,

hedmo,
In your previous post you have mentioned only libs. AFIK, libs are libs not modules, in the sense that they are not compiled among a kernel. Please, someone correct me if I am wrong.
I have seen lots of posts in different forums and none of them have a definitive solution to those modules.
If I understood you question: Yes I have all of the libs above.
