Same problem for me :(

Didn't see kpilot either...

but i know where's the problem: the ./configure script searches for pi-file.h and/or the pisock library if it doesn't find them it disables kpilot.

The problem:
libpisock.so is in /usr/lib :?: :!: :?:

Aha... *hrm* backtracing... searching for "pi-file.h"
:arrow: found in /usr/include/libpisock
But the above directory isn't in the INCLUDE path !

have to add it using ./configure --with-extra-includes=/usr/include/libpisock !

HACK to compile Kpilot in
change in the file /usr/portage/eclass/kde-dist.class the line
myconf="$myconf --enable-final"
to
:idea: myconf="$myconf --enable-final --with-extra-includes=/usr/include/libpisock"

PS: pilot-link has to be merged ;)

It's included in kde-base/kdepim-3.0-r1 (conditional on 'pda' USE flag), but it's version 4.3.0b, which is defined as alpha quality.
