I have been runnig Gentoo for a few months now - 1.2 and 1.3b on separate systems. The r7 kernel sources lack very important ACPI updates for me.
I can download the vanilla 2.4.18 kernel and patch it with the rc/ac patches, or thte acpi patches, but after that, you would need to be a kernel master to get the preemt and low-latency stuff back in there by hand (which I am not)..
Does anyone know of a site that maintains a kernel w/ all of these features? The Gentoo-Sources kernel is REALLLY close, but like I said, the ACPI is broken (as well as contains extremely old ACPI code)..
Just trying to get it all I guess
Thanks,
