I have a few Questions regarding KDE.

  1. My Konqueror Web browser doesnt have tabbed windows. I Really REALLY miss that, as it was a Good Thing (tm). Galleon had it, and Konq dont :( Is there a way to do it, I love Konq and its anti-aliased goodness but i miss tabs! (nothing like surfing 10 pages on the forums ;))

  2. I want transparent menus in my KDE, I have Mosfets Liquid widgets installed on my machine but the transparancy rendering, is shoddy. I end up with chunks of raw X data (images, text) behind my menus :( The thing is, the built in menu transparency option is disabled for some reason in my Control Center. Do i need to specify an option on compile/load?

Thanks for all/any help offered.

Thanks, Pudd.

hi,

in regard of your questions:

1. I think this will be a feature in KDE 3.1, if I am not mistaken. Nothing to do about it now.

2. Normally, I dont believe that there are compile options. Just make sure that you enable menu effect to 'make translucent' in your control center -> look and feel -> Style and then the effects tab. Or have you tried that already?

Grtx,

Anton.
