Ok the other day I ran
Then started up my tv app and my box froze. So I restarted my box.
I restarted it and ran
again but this time it said it didn't have so and so file. It just bearly caught it. Not sure what the exact message was.
So now when I do
I get
| Code: | Calculating world dependencies ...done!
!!! Error: the <gnome-extra/gnome-utils-2.3 package conflicts with another package.
!!! both can't be installed on the same system together.
!!! Please use 'emerge --pretend' to determine blockers.

so I do what it tells me and I get:

These are the packages that I would merge, in order:
Calculating dependencies
emerge: there are no masked or unmasked ebuilds to satisfy "gnome-extra/gnome-utils-2.3".
!!! Error calculating dependencies. Please correct.

So now what. I can't emerge or update anything.

# emerge -u world |
If it still doesn't let you do
and unmerge all Blocking packages before updating your system. |

| Thanks that seems to be working fine. I only had to run the unemerge command. |
