I'm trying to install imagemagick with these flags:
Code:
media-gfx/imagemagick-6.5.2.9  USE="bzip2 corefonts jpeg openmp perl png tiff truetype zlib -X -djvu -doc -fontconfig -fpx -graphviz -gs -hdri -jbig -jpeg2k -lcms

as a dependency, it is drawing in fontconfig-2.6.0-r2, which is crashing. It will not let me install any other version than this version, even when putting =media-libs/fontconfig-2.5.0-r1 ~x86 in package.keywords (I think that XML-parser won't allow it, and there is only one versin of that in portage right now).

I'm synced, I'm consistent (via revdep-rebuild), and I'm totally within the stable branch of portage, yet I'm getting this:

Code:
make[2]: Entering directory `/var/tmp/portage/media-libs/fontconfig-2.6.0-r2/work/fontconfig-2.6.0/fc-cache'

I think you need to compile freetype with some other use-flags. See also: http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/linux-newbie-8/trouble-with-install-fontconfig-645360/

Yeah, I saw that post. That was referring to the fontconfig being too new/old for freetype.

I have compiled freetype with every available flag, and it still does the same thing.

Appreciate the input... but it didn't work...
